About The Event
This Fourth of July, OKO Studio is ditching the fireworks for something hotter.
Chicago-based artist and performer Dom Rabalais is taking over the studio for the weekend, debuting a new series of vibrant paintings and delivering a high-energy live set as Sweat FM—a maximalist, body-moving performance project that blends sound, spectacle, and sweat. (Seriously, wear something you can dance in.)
Joining Dom is Seattle’s Spur, performing as Captain Preacher—a solo project defined by brooding melodies, surreal lyricism, and a haunting, gender-expansive vocal presence. Both artists will also be guest tattooing throughout the weekend, offering rare flash from their traveling setups.
The night will kick off with a local opener (TBA) and feature pop-up eats from a guest chef—because no one should dance on an empty stomach.
Art, ink, music, and motion collide. Free and open to the public.
