ALPHABET alchemy

In the Summer of 2024, OKO Studio opened its doors for Alphabet Alchemy—a group typography show that brought together some of Dayton’s most distinctive designers and letterform obsessives. Featured artists included Misty Thomas-Trout, Josh Flohre and Alvaro Linares of Ink & Hammer, Joey Bolton of Dayton Signage, Brian Braden of Sharkmouth Design, and Adair Tudor of OKO Studio. From hand-painted signage to experimental type explorations, the show celebrated the power of the alphabet in all its expressive, communicative forms.

The night was made even sweeter by a pop-up from our new neighbors at Ugly Duckling, who kept guests well-fed with a spread that matched the creativity on the walls. Thanks to everyone who came out to support local design and community craft
